ELECTION DAY<\/span><\/div>\n

<\/span>After Soledad  Castellanos as Sergeant at Arms opened the session, our president Sean Palit made a great introduction talking about change: \u201cembrace the change because it opens new opportunities\u201d. <\/o:p><\/span>
<\/a>
<\/span>Time to our Toastmasters of the evening, Isabel Montero, who shared her last trip to Extremadura, Seville and Toledo with us and used it to introduce the subject of the day: favorite traditions. She talked about her two favorite traditions: <\/span>the April Fair in Seville and having breakfast with her mum on her birthday’s day (physically together or Skype, it does not matter).<\/span><\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
Thanks to this great topic, we all know that Mona Tellier, our Ah-counter for the session, enjoys with her husband traditional Japanese food on New Year\u2019s Day, Soledad Castellanos (grammarian)  <\/span>is an addict to  <\/span>the Fair in Sanlucar Mayor or that Olga Escribano (timekeeper) runs a Netflix Marathon every Sunday. <\/o:p><\/span><\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
<\/a>And then came the meat of the session. Sebasti\u00e1n gave us a speech entitled \u201cMoney\u201d. After a suggestive introduction: \u201cwhat would you do for one million dollars?\u201d, explained a well-summarized history of money. Sean Palit, his evaluator, congratulated Sebasti\u00e1n and pointed out that the speech mixed simplicity, an excellent structure with some elements of story telling. Well done Sebasti\u00e1n!!<\/o:p><\/span><\/div>\n
<\/div>\n

<\/a><\/span><\/a>
<\/span>Then Paul Conde\u2019s <\/span>turn who held two speeches in a row. Paul started talking about personal objectives and brought the speech to the goals of the Club. He explained all the ribbons of the club as the duties of all the Club Committee Members in detail. It became clear that Paul knows the Club inside out: \u201cIt is the members of the club who give it its quality\u201d. In Paul\u2019s evaluation, Emilie  <\/span>Jacquetton highlighted his charismatic, comfortable and energetic style. Good job Paul! And smile <\/span>????<\/span><\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
<\/a>Election time. Twenty three members of the Club were present at the session. Everything was ready for voting and the winner is………….. the team lead by Isabel Montero!!! <\/span>
Congratulations to Isabel who is going to be the next president of the Club from 1<\/span>st<\/sup> July and congratulations to all the members of the new committee: Yanina, Guillem, Zuzana, Sebasti\u00e1n, Maria Luisa, Anna, Olga, Adaliz and David!! <\/span> <\/span><\/div>\n

<\/a>After this exciting moment, we found out that Maria Luisa\u2019s family is composed of 70 people who meet each other every September in Portugal. A big big family Maria Luisa! <\/span>As a table topic master, Maria Luisa, proposed a new idea for the table short speeches: pick 3 pictures from 6, think for 30 seconds and speak for 2 minutes. The challenge was accepted by Alexa Meyer-Hamme<\/span> and two guests (Scarlett and Michal) who demonstrated that the Club has excellent candidates as potential members.<\/span><\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
<\/a>Later on, Maria Blancas, as general evaluator, highlighted the <\/span>excellent topic of the day chosen by Isabel and evaluated the whole meeting giving useful tips to improve some of the roles of the session. She received a big applause for her interesting evaluation.<\/span><\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
As an \u00abah-counter\u00bb, Mona Tellier, gave a positive report on all the filler words like\u00bb eh, ah, uh, em…\u00bb that were used on this session and pointed out: \u201cEveryone is a winner in Toastmasters\u201d.  <\/span>The grammarian, Soledad Castellano, explained that 3 people used the word of the day (Long-Standing tradition), and gave her report on the correct use of the language and rhetorical devices. The timekeeper, Olga Escribano, told us the exact time of every speech.<\/o:p><\/span>

Sean Palit, concluded the session talking again about change and progress and introduced Marc Majoral who invited everyone to attend the Area Contest this Saturday. Good luck to our members participating in the Contest!!<\/o:p><\/span><\/div>\n
